Collected Reviews

Dracula [Mina’s Quest] – ACT Theatre (2019)

“Harris taps the vein of earnest absurdity running through this adaptation with precision and glee, which is a joy to watch.”

“The ever amazing Harris plays into the crazed, unsavory character of Renfield with seeming glee making him a fabulous bit of comic relief without ever trying to be comical. Giving us more of an uncomfortable giggle than a belly laugh.”

She Stoops to Conquer – Seattle Shakespeare Company (2019)

Harris is a comedy troupe unto himself and takes Tony into a whole new realm… if you are unable to have fun at this show, then you have something wrong with your funny bone and need to consult your physician.”

Matilda the Musical – Village Theatre (2018)

“Harris completely steals any scene he’s in… Every look, gesture, or aside is perfection and a joy to behold.”

As Trunchbull in Village Theatre’s MATILDA THE MUSICAL

“Basil Harris was my favorite performer of the night, delivering perfect comedic timing while still inspiring the sense of fear and loathing the role should elicit.”

“Harris, as the cartoonishly crabby Trunchbull, steals every scene he’s in. Expect to guffaw when you see him.”

Everett Herald

Automata – Original Series

Harris has been show-stealing wholesale on stage and in front of the camera for years, and with his five o’clock shadow, distinctive jawline and spot-on dialogue delivery, he’s pretty much born to play this part.”

CityArts Magazine – 2018 Seattle International Film Festival

Robin Hood – New Victory Theatre (NYC, 2015)

Best of all is Basil Harris.

The New York Times

Go, Dog. Go! – Seattle Children’s Theatre (2017)

“Of the seven canine characters, my favorite was easily the one played by Basil Harris. He had both kids and adults rolling.”

A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Tantrum Theater (2017)

Basil Harris stands out as clueless Bottom…This ‘Dream’ will be remembered.”

The Columbus Dispatch

Basil Harris appears as Dr. Orin Scrivello, DDS in Tantrum Theater's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (2016)

Little Shop of Horrors – Tantrum Theater (2016)

Basil Harris is a riot … at times reminding me of Robin Williams with his timing and delivery.”
